Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa

Not your ordinary resort.

The new Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa, formerly the Hyatt Regency Kauai, is a luxurious 602-room resort recognized by the most respected travel publications as one of top tropical resorts in the world. Located on 50 ocean front acres, the resort is elegant, yet casual and captures the classic, timeless beauty of the islands. Its architecture is reminiscent of Hawaii during the 1920s and ’30s, creating a romantic sense of place that evokes an emotional connection with the land and its people.

The Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa is thoughtfully built into a hillside overlooking beautiful Keoneloa Bay, blending into the lush mantle of rolling green mountains, and sloping gently to the Pacific and five acres of man-made lagoons that blend with a white sand beach. The award-winning ANARA Spa offers 25,000 square feet of luxury and will soon be expanded by 20,000 additional square feet of open-air treatment areas surrounded by tropical flora and fauna, waterfalls, and private pathways that lead to individual treatment hales (huts), each with its own soaking tub.

Relax — we’ve taken care of everything.

The four-story low-rise design of the resort, built in 1990, conforms to Kauai’s building code, which permits no building higher than the tallest coconut tree. The recently renovated guest rooms offer a spacious 600 square feet and each room includes: a private lanai, a separate seating area, elegant Hawaiian style furnishings, air conditioning and ceiling fans, double marble sinks in each bathroom and expected amenities such as remote control color TV with cable reception, in-room safe, high speed internet access, and three telephones including one portable phone. Close to 70 percent of the rooms provide an ocean or partial ocean view. The remainders are lagoon, garden and mountain views, of which 23 are in ADA compliance.

The resort offers 37 suites ranging from 1200 to 1500 square feet with sliding doors that separate the master bedroom from the living area. Each suite features a remote controlled 42” flat screen TV, stereo with CD player, a wet bar, and a separate dining area for up to four people. The bath has a separate shower and a tub with a whirlpool, double sinks and a remote 15” LCD TV. The deluxe ocean suite features a spacious foyer with a half bath.

Each of the two Presidential suites are approximately 2700 square feet and offer spectacular ocean views and a full-service kitchen equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, dishes, and utensils. There is a separate dining area that will seat up to six. The bath offers a sit-down Jacuzzi for four, double sinks, separate bath and shower, and a mini remote controlled TV.

World-class dining and entertainment.

Within the resort are six restaurants and lounges, including two of Kauai’s finest dining establishments—Tidepools and Dondero’s. Stevenson’s Library, a favorite gathering place for cocktails and pupus (appetizers) offers fun atmosphere and nightly entertainment. For children, ages 3 to 12, there is Camp Hyatt Kauai, which has been featured numerous times on The Travel Channel as part of segments on the most family-friendly resorts in America.

The resort is adjacent to the famous Poipu Bay Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The course is a 210-acre links-style course, including a full practice facility. Played host to the PGA Grand Slam of Golf from 1994-2006.

The Grand Hyatt Kauai is a microcosm of the island’s hospitality and aloha. Want to know more? Visit kauai.hyatt.com.
